IconicSX is now TICA Outstanding Cattery Certificated ! Setting the standards for Ethical Sphynx Breeding.

We are beyond excited to share some incredible news with all of you! IconicSX Cattery has officially been awarded the prestigious TICA Outstanding Cattery Certificate, a recognition that highlights our dedication to providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our cats.

A Milestone Achievement

On 9th January, our cattery underwent a comprehensive inspection by a licensed veterinarian as part of the TICA Outstanding Cattery Program. This process involved an in-depth evaluation of multiple areas, including facilities, cleanliness, organization, and our overall commitment to excellence in cat care.

We are proud to announce that we received the maximum score of 88 points, with every single assessed category rated as Excellent.

This certification is especially significant because only a select few catteries in the UK hold this prestigious certificate. Even more uniquely, IconicSX Cattery is currently the only cattery holding TICA Outstanding Cattery Certificate for Sphynx Breed in the UK to achieve this recognition.

Feedback from the Inspecting Veterinarian

The inspecting veterinarian left the following remark on the official form submitted to TICA:

“Ms. Niewiadomska is a well-informed, committed, and enthusiastic breeder who is keen to share her knowledge of the breed. Her facilities are impressive and arranged in the best interests of each individual.”

This thoughtful comment means the world to us, as it reflects the care and attention we’ve put into creating a cattery that prioritizes the comfort and well-being of every single cat.

Why This Certification Matters

The TICA Outstanding Cattery Certificate is a reflection of our commitment to excellence. It assures potential adopters that our cattery meets the highest standards in areas such as:

• Providing clean, organized, and well-maintained facilities.

• Ensuring that every cat’s space is safe, secure, and comfortable.

• Creating an environment where cats can thrive.

This recognition strengthens our promise to continue upholding these standards and to represent the Sphynx breed with pride.

Clarifying Common Misunderstandings

It’s worth noting that more and more catteries have started using the term “TICA certificated” in their marketing. However, this wording can be misleading. Being registered with TICA simply means a breeder is a member of the organization and can register cats within it.

It does not mean that the cattery has passed the inspection process or earned the official TICA Outstanding Cattery Certificate.

TICA Outstanding Cattery status is awarded only after a successful inspection confirming compliance with TICA’s strict welfare, hygiene, and ethical breeding standards.

Catteries without this certification have not undergone this evaluation, even if they are affiliated with TICA.

As of today, only 42 catteries worldwide hold this certification — a reflection of how selective and rigorous the program truly is.
